You've been asking. We've been baking (and testing, and tweaking, and starting over… and over). Our answer is finally here: gluten-friendly sourdough bagels, made with gluten-free ingredients. Same obsessive attention to taste and texture you'd expect from us — just a new option for those looking to reduce gluten.
We intentionally use the term gluten-friendly rather than gluten-free because our bagels are prepared in a shared kitchen where wheat flour is regularly used. While these bagels are made with gluten-friendly ingredients and a carefully developed recipe, we cannot guarantee that cross-contact with gluten has not occurred. For this reason, our gluten-friendly bagels may not be suitable for individuals with celiac disease or severe wheat allergies.
Our gluten-friendly bagels are handcrafted in small batches using sourdough fermentation, whole psyllium husk, and specialty gluten-friendly flours to create a bagel with a more traditional texture and flavor than many packaged gluten-free options. They are made fresh in-house and developed with the same care and attention that goes into every bagel we make at Comfort Bagel.
